Good to be back in the Wind River Range and challenge myself on the Alan Dixon high route. Thankful for alpine lakes, wildflowers, and friends who make impromptu plans to hang out in small Wyoming towns. Next stop, Yellowstone NP and Montana.

Special thanks to trail angels who provides shade and cold beverages in the Great Divide Basin. Especially to @seemarkski, who drove from Casper with cold watermelon, @topplingbrews IPAs, nice crispy bacon, and a genuine enthusiasm that kept me cruising through the tough terrain.

I first met @mollymollyhikes & @pathikes4fun in Ut

I first met @mollymollyhikes & @pathikes4fun in Utah in late March while they were on the Hayduke trail. I gave them a ride and helped them cache some food.

Then in late May I bumped into them in Cuba, NM while I was stuffing my face with fried chicken on my own #CDT thru-hike.

A few days ago we were on the same bus in Breckenridge, Colorado.
